Department of Landscaping and Ornamental Plants Head's Message
The Department of Landscape and Ornamental Plants educates intermediate staff working on the creation, maintenance and repair of landscape areas and the cultivation, protection and marketing of ornamental plants and related plants to be grown in these areas.
In this direction, Botany, Plant growing environments and hydroponics, Technical drawing, Landscape Ecology, Ornamental plant production techniques, Plant physiology, Seasonal flower cultivation, Computer applications in landscape, Measurement knowledge, Structural application technique, Landscaping, Landscaping, Cut flower cultivation, Grass and maintenance of outdoor areas, Outdoor ornamental plants cultivation, Basic design, Park garden maintenance and repair techniques, Ground cover and use in landscaping, Medical aromatic plants, Indoor ornamental plants cultivation, Nursery plant and management, Ornamental plants diseases and pests, Bulbous plants courses are given.
Within the department, Research and Application Greenhouse, Sapling production and breeding parcels, Cut flower production parcel, Grass field application parcel, Research and student room, Table tennis area facilities are offered.
Local and international technical trips are organized regularly by the instructors of the department. Domestic trips to Yalova, Ödemiş, Istanbul and Sakarya businesses and fairs, and abroad to Italy, Germany, Netherlands.
